 How to Use RENOVA
RENOVA only needs to be applied once per day-at night. This page contains advice on using RENOVA for maximum success. However, if your doctor has given you personal instructions on how and when to use RENOVA, be sure to follow them.
To prepare your skin for RENOVA, first gently cleanse your face thoroughly with mild soap or a gentle alcohol-free cleanser. Pat dry (avoid rubbing).
After washing, wait 20 to 30 minutes before applying RENOVA to be sure your skin is totally dry. Skin that is wet, damp, or even moist tends to absorb cream quickly, which may cause unnecessary irritation.
After your face is totally dry, squeeze a pea-sized amount (about 1/4" diameter) of RENOVA onto your fingertip. Important note: using more than a pea-sized amount will not increase your results and may cause irritation.
Dab it on your forehead, chin and both cheeks. Pat your skin so the small dabs begin to spread into a thin layer that covers your entire face. Smooth into skin until all white streaks have disappeared.
After applying RENOVA, you can apply a moisturizer; however, for best results, wait one hour in between if possible.
In the morning, cleanse your face gently. Then moisturize with a non-pore-clogging (non-comedogenic) moisturizer, preferably one with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or higher. It is important to protect your skin with either sunscreen or a moisturizer with an SPF of 15 or higher, as RENOVA may make your skin more sensitive to the sun.
You can use makeup with RENOVA, just be sure to cleanse it off at night before you apply RENOVA.
It's important to use RENOVA as directed by your doctor. For more detailed information regarding the use of RENOVA, please ask your pharmacist for patient instructions available with your prescription or go back to product information. Get the Do's and Don'ts for success with RENOVA. Click here.
